I tend to prefer short term solutions and client focused therapy (using a variety of techniques) work to help you feel better faster as you can verify by some of the testimonials on this site. In essence, that means I want you to be able to make progress within a short space of time and you should notice improvements very soon after starting therapy. Some therapists will keep you digging up the past again and again. I prefer to find out with you what is going on, outline some of the reasons and to help you move into the future (which at least you can change). I have found that positive changes can happen in only a few sessions.

I offer a professional, confidential and individual counselling and psychotherapy service to clients in the Dublin Area in 2 locations; Baggot Street and Killiney. For International clients or those who cannot attend the clinic some appointments can be arranged via Skype or WhatsApp.

A limited number of Counselling appointments for new clients will be available soon and evening counselling sessions may be possible to suit your needs. Email john@dublintherapycentre.ie or call 086 608 42 92 to book your appointment.

I enjoy working with people (like you!) using appropriate techniques (including humour) and interventions to suit and help each individual client. I work on an individual level with adults to explore, support, challenge and change whatever you may need to consider in a safe and supportive environment. People have sought out my services for problems such as:
– Stress – Relationship Issues – Depression – Anger – Addiction – Co-Dependency – Bereavement and Loss – Family problems – Anxiety – Shame Issues – Childhood or Adult Experienced Trauma – Sexual Orientation Issues – Coping with Problems at work – Financial worries – Physical or emotional illnesses – Surviving physical and/or sexual abuse – Exploring who they are, could be and want to be.
